For three years Think Tank has planned, booked and produced the The Michigan Black Summit, now in its third year. This transformative two-day event focuses on empowering Black communities through economic development, civic engagement, and leadership while providing a platform to discuss and strategize on critical issues affecting Michigan's Black communities.

The 2025 summit line up featured an impressive lineup of speakers, including:
  • Michigan Lieutenant Governor Garlin Gilchrist 
  • Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson
  • Quinten Messner, President Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) 
These influential leaders join community members, activists, and experts in workshops, panels, and discussions designed to inspire change, share knowledge, and build networks.

Workshops and Panels will explore topics such as:
  • Strengthening the Black economy through entrepreneurship and investment
  • Mobilizing the Black vote and addressing voter suppression
  • Building the next generation of Black leaders through mentorship and education
Attendees will also enjoyed an annual elegant gala on February 8, featuring a live performance by the iconic R&B group Midnight Star and the presentation to local individuals with the John Lewis Good Trouble Awards.
